SYNOPSIS:
Enrique, 8, a munchkin of a boy, has not spoken a single word since his mother’s death. Being raised by his grandmother, Odelia, she gets called to his school to discuss his withdrawn and unusual behavior. After visiting the family doctor and determining that there is nothing physically wrong with him, she is referred to a spiritualist to investigate his lack of speech. When the spiritualist makes a connection with the “other side” Enrique and Odelia are taken on a parallel odyssey that brings to light unresolved issues between them all.

Bodies & Hearts is five introspective looks inside the beauty, repercussions and complexities of love, held together by the five movements of a symphony.
A beautiful but self-destructive ballet dancer brings a young man, to have passionate but emotionless sex, to her apartment. What she thinks will be another meaningless one night stand is anything but as she learns that the young man is linked to her troubled past and has been infatuated with her his entire young life. Two teenage girls, who have been friends and neighbors for most of their lives, struggling to find meaning and understand their own relationships, take their friendship to another level as they share an intimate moment before they are off to college. A married couple, on the eve of their 10th wedding anniversary, share truths and secrets like never before, that can be the dissolution and disillusion of their relationship. A young prodigal violinist, waiting to see whether he will finally meet his biological father, explains to his deaf mother his lack of faith and interest in love and humanity. A middle aged, life-long gay couple share their last moments together in the middle of the night as one of them is dying of cancer.
