Originally born in Waxahachie, Texas, Sydney earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Cinema and Photography from Ithaca College in 2009. She was given the opportunity to intern at Bosco Productions in Chicago, Illinois, doing both video editing and studio recording sessions for clients such as the Chicago Bulls. Since then, she has gone to work on a number of films including Baby Blue, an adaptation of a Joyce Carol Oates’ short story “Where Are You Going? Where Have You Been?” where she was the sound recordist, chief editor, and sound designer. For one of her most unique projects, Space Toaster, Sydney gave voice to a toaster through manipulation of sound envelopes on a synthesizer. Armed with a minor in Audio Production and nearly 12 years of violin study, music and sound have always been her second interest after cinema. Sydney is passionate about Asian Culture and Cinema and is on her way to becoming fluent in Mandarin.
