Danny Reyes

Danny Reyes is a writer and filmmaker whose experience and creativity ranges from theatre to movie productions. At a young age, Danny began writing poetry, having poems published in the Young Writer’s Book . He would later transition into writing short stories and onto the stage, performing in dance, improv groups and plays such as You Can’t Take It With You.  Danny would then move into screenwriting receiving a BFA in filmmaking and screenwriting from the University of Illinois in Chicago. Danny has written and directed several short narratives entitled Raw News (2007), Raw News 2.0 (2008), Truth of a Man (2008), a three-part series entitled Conflictions (2010), and a Documentary entitled Reanimation (2009). His work is inspired by social media, politics, and the psychology of the mind. Reyes has in the past also worked with Rhapsody Productions of Chicago and is a graduate of the Second City writing and Improvisation program. He would go on to perform on stages at Second City, the Annoyance theatre, and Stage 773. Reyes returned to directing and writing for film in 2013 with Truth of a Killer.
